Bursledon Parish can be a busy place – there are a lot of activities you can get involved with. For more information about full details of any of these activities can be obtained from the Church Office.
- Small Groups
We run a number of Small Groups within the church community. These groups meet in people’s homes during the week and offer the chance to get to know people better, to learn a little more about the God we worship and to study the Bible. The groups are very informal and friendly and social events are a common activity. - Alpha Courses
Alpha is an introduction to the Christian faith and runs over ten weeks, one evening per week, there is also an away day. The sessions are very informal and relaxed and provide an opportunity to ask the questions you always wanted to ask about the Christian faith in a safe environment. - Mothers’ Union
Mothers Union is a worldwide organisation which gives Christian care and support to families in many countries – including the U.K. – and in a variety of ways such as education and many practical projects. In Bursledon we have over 30 members who meet on the second Wednesday of each month in St Pauls. For any further information, visit the regional M.U. website or the national site. Acorns Coffee shop at St. Paul’s is open from 10.00am to 12.00 noon on Wednesdays. As well as serving coffee, tea, and soft drinks, there is a Fairtrade stall, selling a range of produce for which the Developing World producers are guaranteed to receive a fair price.The Acorns Coffee shop is an ideal place to come, either with friends, or on your own. There will always be someone there for a chat. - Libraries
There are well stocked libraries at both St. Leonard’s and St. Paul’s and we encourage you to make full use of these facilities. A good selection of children’s books is stocked at St. Paul’s, and books for adults at both churches. We are always open to suggestions of books to put in the library, so if there is any title you’d particulary like to read, do let us know.
